Open Heart is the first single, and opening track, of Australian film composer Cassie To’s debut album Heart Songs. Often creating scores for the fictional lives of others, Heart Songs instead focusses the lens on the composer herself- a mosaic of pieces reflecting Cassie’s real-world relationships and experiences. This haunting, textured soundscape blends strings, woodwinds, synths and ambient electronics: an invitation to be still and listen deeply.
